A major effort (purely for fun) will be to make a fully digital gauge cluster and telemetry, to include sending the telemetry, wirelessly, back to the pits where it can be displayed the same as on my dash.  Lots of fun stuff here.  I have some inspiration for making a ‘map’ based on the first lap GPS data, then using it with a ‘ghost’ racer on subsequent laps.  This idea came from a friend with a Corvette.  Ton’s of videos here on sensors, micro controllers, and cars.  It will appeal and be applicable to a large audience from electronics and robotics enthusiast to car and boat people.  ~P
